Jesse Walton Hambrick Jr. is a nationally recognized expert with over 34 years of experience in public safety, law enforcement, and behavioral health advocacy. With a distinguished career that spans the public and private sectors, Jesse brings deep expertise in criminal investigations, school and workplace safety, substance abuse prevention, and public information and emergency management.
He served more than 25 years in law enforcement, including leadership roles with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, where he supervised criminal investigations, led school safety initiatives, and operated as a Public Information Officer. Over his career, Jesse has conducted hundreds of complex investigations involving narcotics, gangs, organized crime, and violent offenders—often working undercover and developing informant networks across Georgia and beyond.
As the Deputy Director of the Georgia Association of Community Service Boards (GACSB) from 2020 to 2024, he managed statewide projects to enhance behavioral health services, coordinated legislative advocacy, and led key focus groups including co-responder programs and public safety strategy.
Jesse is the founder and owner of J Walton Consulting and Education Services, where he consults with schools, businesses, churches, and families nationwide on active shooter preparedness, violence prevention, drug-free workplaces, and behavioral health interventions. He’s an advisor to legislators, a trainer of first responders, and an advocate for at-risk youth—having placed over 300 individuals into treatment and graduated hundreds from intervention programs.
A frequent keynote speaker and media contributor, Jesse has been featured on A&E, Georgia Public Broadcasting, and in publications including The Atlanta Business Chronicle and Georgia Magazine. He authored the book “Prisoners of Meth – Imprisoned and Turned Upside Down” and holds certifications in crisis intervention, anti-terrorism, hazardous materials, and active shooter response.
Jesse has served on multiple advisory boards, including the Georgia CIT Advisory Board, and is a recipient of numerous awards, such as the National Paul H. Chapman Award for the Improvement of Justice and a Georgia Senate Resolution for his work combating Methamphetamine use.
