In 2004, Jesse Hambrick authored a book at the behest of a mother who was desperately seeking assistance for her son struggling with drug addiction. Having successfully guided her son into a residential treatment program, she discovered a lack of resources available to support parents facing similar challenges. Charmaine's plea prompted Jesse to write a book aimed at aiding others in similar circumstances, offering guidance to those navigating the difficult path of helping their loved ones.

"Prisoners of Meth" does not offer a one-size-fits-all solution to addiction-related issues. Instead, it offers a window into the world of methamphetamine addiction, brings clarity to seemingly chaotic situations, and aims to provide practical assistance in devising a plan to aid loved ones resistant to help.
